Situated at the Gateway to the Scottish Isles
Welcome to The Harbour Bar in the picturesque fishing port of Girvan, South Ayrshire, Scotland UK.
The Harbour Bar offers the traditional warm Scottish welcome aligned with the personal yesteryear service of a small town local, which is so sadly missing from the branded Pubs found in our Towns and Cities of today.
The old fashioned personal and warm welcome delivered by Husband and Wife team, Jane and Gordon McGregor, Daughter Amy, Brother Wayne and friend Nancy , makes the Harbour Bar more than just a Pub. It is the centre of a very proud and friendly community which encompasses all levels of society.
The Harbour Bar attracts the ordinary worker to the professional businessman, the commercial fisherman to the professional sea angler, day sailors to the yachties singles to couples and families, folk singers to karaoke singers, locals to tourists, and snackers to diners which altogether provide a varied atmosphere with stimulating and interesting Craic. The Harbour Bar is in fact, about as far removed from the branded chain pub model as is possible to imagine. It is still possible to sample a fine Orkney Malt and have change returned from two,one pound coins, and to sit by the log burning stove whilst enjoying your choice of nip from the 70 on offer.
The Harbour Bar, of course, provides the perfect start and finish point for boat trips to Ailsa Craig or to do a spot of sea fishing. There are two vessels which operate this service,The M.V.Glorious and the M.V. Rachael Clare. Contact details are to be found on the LOCAL EVENTS page of this site,or just ring the Harbour Bar and we will be glad to provide them over the phone..
Finally....before you head off inside our site for a browse,we would like all of our customers to know that we acknowledge the support that they have given and continue to give us in what is a very difficult business. We hope this site reflects the very special atmosphere that is ..
